About the Item

A stylish legacy from the mid-century era is this delightful jug modelled as a seahorse decorated in green glazes and by English makers Price Kensington. The earthenware jug stands on a shaped narrow unglazed foot rim with a slightly recessed base and is modelled as a seahorse with molded details to the body and face and with its narrowing tail curled to form a handle and its long nose forming the pouring spout and with an opening to the top of its head. The jug is well made and decorated in rich green glazes with the raised elements providing some contrast. The jug is impressed PK to the base and marked MADE IN ENGLAND. A stylish and fine example and rocks slightly on its base.
