Royal Worcester Blush Ivory Jug

About the Item

This small Royal Worcester jug is decorated with a rather unusual hand coloured and gilded pattern on a blush ivory ground. The pattern consists of scattered floral sprays that have been coloured using a delicate, restrained palette. The jug shape is number 1094 which was available in six sizes, and first issued in 1885. This one is 126 mm (5 inches) high, and has a diameter of 86 mm (3 3/8ths inches). There is some slight rubbing to the gilding on the handle and to the lip but otherwise it is in excellent condition. It carries the date mark for 1895.
