Vintage serpent handled wheel thrown studio pottery pitcher - elegant proportions - dramatic presence - hand modeled serpent clutching the edge of the vessel with its' mouth - the hind legs and tail fall to the base - a swirl of turquoise glaze to the interior - unidentified potter/signed on the base MB - mid 20th century. Excellent vintage condition - extensive glaze crackle - no loss - no damage - no restoration - irregular clay body and glaze as intended by the artist/potter. Size - 7 1/2" Wide x 4 3/4" Deep x 8 3/4" High.
