18th Century Dr. Wall Worcester Oval Dish

About the Item

18th century Dr. Wall Worcester oval dish, the scalloped edge rim is beautifully gilt followed by a dark cobalt interior with gilding . The open center features a bouquet of flowers in various colors and sizes. The exterior has a cobalt and gilt decorated rim with small floral bouquets at the four points. The blue crescent moon mark underneath indicates this is first period , the earliest of Dr. Wall's work. He is credited with founding the porcelain industry in England in the 18th century. This piece is a great example of his expertise.
