1930s Chrome Red Enamel Berkel Meat Slicer, Model 11 Flywheel Fully Restored

About the Item

A vintage fully restored 1930s Berkel Model 11 flywheel meat slicer – Chrome and red enamel La Porte, Indiana, circa 1926–1932 An original Berkel Model 11 flywheel meat slicer, manufactured in La Porte, Indiana between 1926 and 1932. This early American example of vintage Berkel slicers has been meticulously restored to full working order, preserving its distinctive mechanical features and visual impact. The body, finished in its original Berkel red enamel, is paired with authentic chromed steel and aluminium detailing, faithful to the factory’s 1930s specification. A 370 mm blade and 24-point calibrated thickness dial allow for precise slicing—hallmarks of Berkel’s patented engineering in this antique meat slicer. Dimensions are 88 cm wide, 65 cm deep, and 75 cm high—substantial enough to serve as a centrepiece, yet proportioned for use in a private kitchen, restaurant, or specialist culinary collection. This is not a reproduction, but a fully restored original Berkel slicer, combining operability with the refined industrial aesthetic that defines the brand’s early designs. A rare opportunity to acquire a piece of historical kitchen equipment that remains both functional and visually iconic.
