About the Item
A vintage fully restored 1930s Berkel Model 11 flywheel meat slicer – Chrome and red enamel
La Porte, Indiana, circa 1926–1932
An original Berkel Model 11 flywheel meat slicer, manufactured in La Porte, Indiana between 1926 and 1932. This early American example of vintage Berkel slicers has been meticulously restored to full working order, preserving its distinctive mechanical features and visual impact.
The body, finished in its original Berkel red enamel, is paired with authentic chromed steel and aluminium detailing, faithful to the factory’s 1930s specification. A 370 mm blade and 24-point calibrated thickness dial allow for precise slicing—hallmarks of Berkel’s patented engineering in this antique meat slicer.
Dimensions are 88 cm wide, 65 cm deep, and 75 cm high—substantial enough to serve as a centrepiece, yet proportioned for use in a private kitchen, restaurant, or specialist culinary collection.
This is not a reproduction, but a fully restored original Berkel slicer, combining operability with the refined industrial aesthetic that defines the brand’s early designs. A rare opportunity to acquire a piece of historical kitchen equipment that remains both functional and visually iconic.

Art Deco Chrome Yacht Lamp, England circa 1930s
Located in Glasgow, GB
An evocative piece of English Art Deco lighting, this chrome yacht lamp, crafted circa 1930s, captures the streamlined elegance and optimism of its era. Sculptural in form, it’s modelled as a stylised yacht, with sweeping curved chrome sails that rise dramatically on either side of a tall, elongated bulb — a striking composition that blends artistry with function. The yacht’s chrome deck sits above a black-stained hardwood base, lending a subtle contrast that underscores the lamp’s sculptural presence.
Measuring 45 cm wide, 50 cm high, and approximately 10 cm deep, this Art Deco chrome lamp...

Murano Glass Shell Dish in Red, Attributed to Archimede Seguso, 1950s
By Archimede Seguso
Located in Glasgow, GB
A decorative Murano glass dish, attributed to Murano glass maestro Archimede Seguso. Handcrafted in Italy in the 1950s, this elegant dish takes the form of a scallop shell, with its bottom edges pinched inward to create the distinctive shape.
Made from vibrant red Murano glass and seamlessly fused with a sheet of gold leaf—a signature technique in mid-century Murano glass design—this combination results in a rich, organic pattern. During the firing process, the stretching and forming of the molten glass produce a concentric pattern of gold flakes that radiate outward, echoing the delicate textures found in a natural scallop shell.
Measuring 11 cm in width and length, with a height of 3.5 cm, this vintage Murano...

Murano Neodymium Sommerso Glass Shell, Flavio Poli for Seguso, Italy, 1960s
By Seguso Vetri d'Arte, Flavio Poli
Located in Glasgow, GB
A collectible Murano glass conch shell, attributed to the work of Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte, crafted in Italy during the 1960s. This decorative shell exemplifies Poli’s mastery of the sommerso technique—a hallmark of mid-century Murano glass, where translucent layers of coloured glass are submerged within one another to create rich tonal depth.
Shaped as a spiral conch shell, the piece features rare neodymium-infused sommerso glass. Its purple base subtly shifts to blue under different lighting conditions—a distinctive property of neodymium—and is balanced by a soft pink interior at the shell’s opening. This optical variation makes it a dynamic object under natural and artificial light, characteristic of collectible Murano neodymium...
