About the Item

This is Wonderful and rare French majolica platter or tray. It dates approximately to 1870. It depicts seated Native Americans with palm trees in the landscape. The scenery implies that it is probably the Seminoles in Florida. During this Victorian era the people were intrigued with both Native Americans and exotic destinations.. The piece does have a mark and number and is in very good condition.
