19th Century Blue and White Transferware Platter – “The Sick Boy”

About the Item

Early 19th-century Staffordshire transferware platter in deep cobalt blue. The central scene, titled The Sick Boy, depicts a pastoral domestic vignette with figures in a countryside setting, framed by a floral border. Octagonal in shape with gently flared edges, this piece is a classic example of English romantic transferware—both decorative and collectable.
