Large Ludwig Wolpert Sterling Silver Round Tray
Located in New York, NY
Large Kudwig Wolpert sterling silver round tray with pierced Hebraic prayer decoration on rim and a wooden cutting board. Center back is marked 'Wolpert.' The Hebrew words pierced around the tray 'מזון וצידה השביע לנפשינו' mean "with sustenance and provision, He has satisfied our soul." It appears in the Nishmat Kol Chai prayer, recited during Shabbat and holiday services as part of the blessings of praise and gratitude. The prayer expresses thanks to God for His goodness and mercy, highlighting the blessings and kindness He bestows upon the world.

In 1933, following the Nazi rise to power in Germany, he immigrated to the Land of Israel with his family. There, he worked in the "B. Friedland" Workshop where he designed and manufactured silver tableware and ritual articles. Together with Victor Solomon...
