About the Item
Large rectangular earthenware platter hand-painted with a stylized fish in Fazio’s signature turquoise and chocolate-brown palette. The bold brushwork and striped border typify the playful modernist aesthetic of post-war Vallauris pottery. Stamped “A. FAZIO – VALLAURIS – FRANCE” to the underside. A striking piece of French mid-century studio ceramics — decorative yet functional, and a strong complement to works by Picault and Capron from the same period.
Excellent vintage condition with light surface wear and minor glaze imperfections typical of hand production.
