Fine Art Deco Serving Tray in the Style of Jacques Adnet, 20th Century

About the Item

Stylish Art Deco chrome, wood and fiberglass serving tray/barware tray in the style of Jacques Adnet. Possibly for LA COMPAGNIE DES ARTS FRANCAIS. Jacques Adnet, 1900-1984 was an Art Deco Modernist French designer, architect and interior designer best known for his distinctive work with leather, metals and glass. His work is synonymous with luxurious French Modernism and included collaborations with Hermes, Baccarat and La Conpagnie des Arts Francais. Adnet directed the latter from 1928 to 1960 where he enlisted the talents of Charlotte Perriand, Georges Jouve, Djo-Bourgeois, Francis Jourdain and René Herbst towards an Avant Garde direction in design. The body of this tray is constructed in chrome with a fiberglass serving surface and ebonized wood handles. Very good condition, age appropriate light surface wear. Measurements: Length- 26 inches, Width- 12.5 inches, Height- 2.5 inches.
