About the Item

Wonderful highly polished pewter chargers. Measure: (20.5 inches). English, mid 18th century. Most likely, London Some showing traces of the touchmarks similar to hallmarks on silver The pewter has been polished to its original shine to imitate polished silver. It was known as the Poor Man's Silver. The great thing about polished pewter is that it will retain its shine unlike silver which tarnishes. It can be cleaned with soap and water. Priced individually so you can make the choice of how many you want?
