Late 18th Century Japanese Celadon Charger
About the Item
Late 18th century Japanese Celadon charger with good patina.
Good wear to the center of the plate and very fine crackle create a multi-layered hues to the glaze. Spur marks to the front of the plate in a radial pattern and an age crack. The ceramic body of the plate is very thick and well modeled.
The rim is a 1/2 inch wide and the profile is well articulated.
Overall look of an antiquity.
