Pair of Porcelain Saxony Plates, 19th Century

About the Item

These Saxony Porcelain Plates are original decorative objects realized during the mid-XIX century, based on a eighteenth-century model. The two vintage plates are finely decorated with floral motifs and gilded decorations. On one of the two plates, there is the abbreviation 'A crowned' (Augusto Rex) and it is in perfect conditions. On the other plate (with a crack-up and small chipping on the back), there is a brand in red (indecipherable). This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price. The shipping may require additional handling days to require the licence according to the final destination of the artwork.
