About the Item
An excellent pair of antique silver-plated vegetable or soup tureens, circular in shape and with wonderful, ornamental side handles, which cling to the body of the dish in the form of extravagant acanthus fronds.
The close-fitting lids are finely chiselled on the rims, while surrounding the pine cone- shaped knob is a radiant pattern of foliage enclosed within a reeded circle.
