This is an amazingly large meat platter with hand painted chinoiserie style polychrome enamel decoration, 19th century. The 2 piece set includes the rare matching strainer/drainer. The platter has a gadroon border and gold trim; with the bright red contrasting element, this is both useful and very decorative.
