Powell Bishop & Stoner English Aesthetic Movement Transferware Platter Honfleur

An Aesthetic Movement transferware platter by Powell, Bishop & Stonier, Hanley, Staffordshire, England, showing the English Registry number 7999 indicating the year 1884. The ‘Honfleur’ pattern is transfer printed in brown on a cream earthenware body and shows an inner Greek Key border with a wider outer border of a floral band with vases. The central image contains more urns or vases with flowers resting on a zigzag fence or pedestal along with a lion statue. Measures: 15.75 in. L. x 11.5 in. W. x 1.5 in H. Very good antique condition, the expected light wear.
