A majolica glazed leaf form dessert tray from Samuel Alcock & Co, Burslem, Staffordshire, England, circa 1850.
A central strawberry leaf on a shaped tray with a vine border, and showing both the berries and blossoms of the strawberry plant. The color and glazing technique is distinctive to Alcock majolica pottery. The mottled blue, green and brown glazed verso is also a hallmark of Alcock.
Clearly marked with the Beehive, SA & Co.
A short stable hairline running from the rim, as shown in the last photo.
