Vienna Porcelain Cabinet Charger

About the Item

Vienna porcelain hand-painted circular charger portraying Mary, Queen of Scots being told of her impending execution, within a rectangular gilt beaded frame and dark green ground surround with foliate and floral motifs under- and overglazed. Bordered with beaded gilt on claret. Beehive mark to reverse, and written, "Maria Stuart Empfangl das Todesurlheil." Painting initialed "RD"
