Villeroy & Boch Majolica Plate in a Footed Wire Basket with Heart Shaped Handles

About the Item

An 19th century basket made up of a hand formed twisted and looped wire holder set with a Majolica plate at the center. The plate shows a geometric pattern glazed in earth tones, the verso is impressed with the Villeroy & Boch mark. The basket has two heart shaped handles and a running loop footing. Measures: Plate 6 in. diameter Basket 10 in. diameter. x 4 in. height The expected light wear to the wire form.
