19th century oval shaped English Ttransferware cachepot. It details blue & white pastoral european style landscape scenes throughout. These designs are applied using a transfer printing technique, where a design is engraved onto a copper plate, inked, and then transferred onto the porcelain. This cachepot is made from porcelain, with the blue color derived from cobalt oxide.
