Early Royal Worcester Triple Dolphin Comport, circa 1880

Royal Worcester offered four sizes of this claret jug shape, the shape being number 1047, which was first issued in 1884. A striking pair of Royal Worcester urns. The body of the urns are deep blue with gilt decoration with gilt handles, rims and base. The reserve on the front has finely painted flowers while the reserve on the reverse has matte and burnished gilt trophies.
