An exquisite and rare early 19t C Spode cabinet cup and saucer circa 1830

About the Item

An exquisite and rare early 19t C Spode cabinet cup and saucer. This beautiful and richly decorated Spode cabinet cup and saucer were made at this high quality English porcelain factory, Circa 1830. It has a deep plum red ground with a white interior all of which are elaborately gilded with foliate swags and leafy garlands with hanging lanterns around very fine central panels of hand decorated raised and deeply gilded displays of exotic sea shells which are most unusual. This wonderful rare cup and saucer are in very good condition with only the slightest signs of wear to the gilt decoration. Marked in red on the underside Spode, and the pattern number 4525 Saucer 15cm wide x15cm depth x 2.5cm height Cup 9cm depth x 11.5cm wide x 5.5cm height
