Libation Cup, Dehua, Qing Dynasty, C1650

About the Item

Blanc de Chine cup of a shape copying earlier cups which were carved from 16th century rhinoceros horns. Lucious Dehua porcelain, moulded and heavily sprigged with plum blossom, deer, phoenix, fish and dragons. An attractive piece of moderate size.
