The sculptor is one of the best modellers of animal figurines Meissen manufactory ever had: P. Walther created numerous animal's models. - This Guianan Toucanet presented here was designed in the year 1924. Rare Meissen item Tall Guianan toucanet The bird's figurine with stretched head is situated on round as well as pyramidal pedestal which is decorated with foliaceous stylized patterns. - EXPLANATION: The Guianan toucanet, or Guyana toucanet is a species of bird in the Ramphastidae family deriving from the north-eastern Amazon rainforest: This type of bird is found in north-western Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is tropical humid lowland forests.
