Pair of English Porcelain Planters Maritime and Landscape Paintings, circa 1850

About the Item

Gilded and painted. The ruby red base color on the round body is provided with two rectangular handles. Represent different views with a trompe l'oeil seashell edged frame. Probably Copeland, indistinct signing 71 in red and 67 printed. Including the names: Texel Iceland Scheldt, Dutch Boats River Maes, Boats off Calais, River Dorte Holland. The geometrically arranged handles are decorated with pearls. (Q-10).
