Polish Porcelain Tobacco Jar
About the Item
The form of this vintage ceramic jar has a timeless elegance. Hand-crafted in Poland, this piece would have originally been used to store tobacco, and would make a perfect container for keepsakes and trinkets. The liquid smoothness of the contoured shape reflects the motion of the potter’s wheel; the bright shine of the cream colored glaze accentuates the flowing curves. The lid is crowned by a graceful finial which serves as a handle — an attractive finishing touch.
