White and brown porcelain figurine "Camel", by Lubomir Tomaszewski, ZPS Karolina
About the Item
Preserved in perfect condition as far as I am concerned.
So there is nothing wrong with it despite the numerous delicate and protruding elements.
No scratches, no scratches, no cracks, no chips, etc.
On the bottom there is the factory's signature under the glazing (photo). The "Karolina" Tableware Porcelain Factory in Jaworzyna Śląska created this miracle.
Without a doubt, a rare figurine.
The patterns of the first figurines were created at the Institute of Industrial Design around 1955. A group of designers, including: Henryk Jędrasiak, Lubomir Tomaszewski, Hanna Orthwein and Mieczysław Naruszewicz were tasked with designing intimate ceramic sculptures intended to decorate a modern interior. In total, about a hundred models were created, depicting mainly animals, less often people.
It seems that Lubomir Tomaszewski is the most famous of this group.
