English Creamware Floral Painted Teapot and Cover, circa 1770

$818.39Asking Price

About

A fine antique English creamware teapot and cover hand painted with floral arrangements with cross over handles and floral and leaf terminals. The teapot dating from circa 1770 is lightly potted and is complete with its original domed cover and nicely decorated in polychrome. The teapot is not marked. The teapot presents and displays well. There are few fine stress hairlines running down from the top edge with a couple of small glaze chips to the spout and the handle has been broken and reattached. There are some minor losses and damage elsewhere but overall a fine example.
