About the Item
A group of Seventeen timeworn Arts and Crafts style Pottery tiles by Ernesto Sanchez and made in Chulucanas, Peru, a region known for its Pottery for ages. The Tiles are thick with good weight and a pleasing Creamy Green background with a strong brown central cross form and an offhand wavy design on the margins. Many of the tiles are signed, “Ernesto Sanchez” in one corner and “Chulucanas” in the other.
Dimensions: 6.75” deep by 6.75” wide by .35” high (Thick).
Condition: Please see detail photos. The tiles, as stated, are timeworn and bear evidence of age in fading to the designs, chips, nicks and some scratches all mentioned for accuracy as the group retains a decorative and desirable Arts and Crafts presentation.
