Nicholas Marsh Contemporary Stoneware Studio Pottery Wall Plaque
About the Item
A stylish handcrafted contemporary stoneware studio pottery wall plaque by British-Canadian potter Nicholas Marsh and dating from the early 21st Century. The four sided plaque has rounded edges set between cut triangular corners and has a central plate like recess. The plaque is decorated in a combination of a rough cast crocodile skin like finish with splashes of contrasting treacle glazes and lighter grey glazes and very much reflects Nicholas’s influences from his interest in the neolithic period. The plaque has an integral hanging loop applied to the back with fired and kiln burn mark elements and bears an incised signature mark.
