Pair Staffordshire pottery cats, c. 1850.

About the Item

Rare and fine pair of Staffordshire pottery cats, c. 1850. The recumbent cats, painted with large underglaze black spots, and having yellow eyes. Set upon underglaze cobalt blue oval bases with a single gilt lines. Height: 14 cm, 5 1/2”. Width: 14.2 cm, 5 5/8”. Depth: 8 cm, 3 1/8”. Condition: Repair to tip of one ear. Otherwise excellent condition.
