Set of Two Art Deco Ceramic Vases by Roger Guérin with Wrought Iron Floral Work by F. Carion, Belgium, circa 1925.
An exquisite and rare matched pair of Art Deco vases by renowned Belgian ceramist Roger Guérin, adorned with intricate wrought iron floral mounts crafted by F. Carion, a master iron artisan of the era. This collaboration between ceramic and metalwork epitomizes the fusion of artistic disciplines characteristic of the Art Deco movement.
These vases are beautifully hand-thrown in stoneware with multicolored high-fire glazes, ranging from earthy ochres and rust to flowing turquoise and umber streaks. Each vase is encased in forged iron scrollwork, culminating in a central flower motif in high-relief on the front. The wrought iron design, especially the expressive floral centers and rhythmic swirling lines, clearly reflect F. Carion’s craftsmanship and sculptural sensibility.

This pair represents a rare and documented collaboration between two accomplished Belgian artists: Roger Guérin, one of the foremost ceramists of the Art Deco period, and F. Carion, a skilled metalworker whose signature is stamped directly into the wrought iron detailing. Such signed joint works are seldom seen and underscore the importance of artisanal partnerships in early 20th-century Belgian decorative arts. Both the pottery base and the ironwork bear clear, original signatures, offering collectors a high degree of authenticity and provenance.

Both vases are in excellent vintage condition. The ceramic glazes are vibrant with intentional firing textures, and the ironwork is stable and beautifully patinated. No chips, cracks, or restorations observed.
