Ancienne collection du château de Dampierre
Important centre de table composé de quatre pièces en bronze doré finement ciselé et cristal taillé, de style Napoléon III. Deux pièces sont à trois niveaux, de coupes en cristal à bord godronné, et deux autres à deux niveaux, reposant toutes sur une colonne centrale ornée de motifs feuillagés et rinceaux dans le goût rocaille. Les bases tripodes sont décorées de pommes de pin, de feuilles d’acanthe et de rosaces rayonnantes, reposant sur des pieds cambrés. L’ensemble illustre le goût du Second Empire pour les compositions décoratives luxueuses mêlant virtuosité technique et inspiration classique.
