Chamberland Filter made in Brass
About the Item
Circa 1900, we offer this Chamberland Filter made in Brass.
A Chamberland filter, also known as a Pasteur–Chamberland filter, is a filter designed to remove microorganisms from liquids. Invented in 1884 by Charles Chamberland, a colleague of Louis Pasteur, the filter was initially used to sterilize water for experiments. The filter's porous structure allows fluids to pass through while trapping bacteria and other microorganisms.
