About the Item
Portuguese earthenware deep dish, attributed to Coimbra. Polychrome decoration with a symmetrical floral motif in the centre in shades of blue, yellow and two small orange circles. The rim is decorated with stylised flowers and leaves in green on a cream background, with a thin orange frieze and a wider yellow one.
Coimbra faience is known for its delicate artistic work and its aesthetic inspired by Portuguese and European tradition, and can always be used as a decorative element.
