About the Item
Dutch silver and crystal spoon vase with twelve spoons, 1910
Silver and crystal spoon vase with pearl pattern rims and the crystal is facet cut crystal with star pattern. The silver rim of the spoon vase the silver purity is 835/1000 (also the spoons)
The twelve spoons are made of silver, marked with the Dutch Hall mark "Sword" used between 1906-1953. Master sign is from the silversmith J.W. Eggerman, Zeist (mark used between 1933-1947). The spoons are 11,5 cm long and the bowls of the spoon are small and oval. At the end of the stem the spoons are decorated with a pattern of rocaille curls and flowers. The spoons are used and shows traces of use.
The vase is 8,5cm high and 7 cm diagonal.

This impressive antique Dutch silver server has an oval shaped blade. The anterior face of the blade is embellished with impressive finely pierced diaper pattern decoration encompassed with a paralleling bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decorated border. The blade is further ornamented with a bright cut engraved scalloped border to the rim blending to a plain border to the incurve. The reverse of the blade is plain and unembellished. This exceptional example of antique silverware retains the original and exceptional faceted agate handle. The ferrule and lower portion of the stem are ornamented with an engraved simplified lozenge design accented with a trellis pattern.
