Striking parrot-shaped bottle opener designed and handcrafted in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico by the legendary Los Castillo workshop, pioneers of 20th-century Mexican modern design. The piece is crafted in solid brass, silver-plated, and intricately inlaid with iridescent abalone shell, with the parrot’s eye accented by a deep blue cabochon stone.
Marked “Los Castillo, Mexico, TA-01, Plateado, 983”, this collectible piece exemplifies the studio’s signature fusion of natural materials and refined metalwork, hallmarks that made the Los Castillo family central figures in the postwar Taxco artistic movement.
