A Noble porcelain Tazza with Dutch silver base by F.G. de Groot, 1864 A European porcelain bowl on a Dutch silver base. This Tazza was commissioned in 1864 by the noble family Baron van Brienen v.d. Groote Lindt for Mr J.D. Preuijdt. This is on the silver base with engraving in text, which is donated in gratitude by Baron Van Brienen van de Groote Lindt, 1864 to J.D. (Jan Dirk) Preuijt (1801-1887) Jan Dirk Priest was a livestock farmer and mayor of Geervliet, member of the Provincial Council. Married to Cornelia Vos. A porcelain bowl with a painted scene, raised on a Dutch silver foot, Dutch silver hall marks of the Lion 2 (833/1000) purity of silver, the Year letter E for 1864 and the master sign of Franciscus Godefridius de Groot (worked during 1851- 1882) The measurement is 19,5 cm high and 26,5 cm diagonal The weight is 746 grams
