The scrolling handle is decorated with an acanthus thumb piece and applied decoration. Both standing on a shaped, raised pedestal foot. Clearly hallmarked for Dublin 1789 with the maker’s or sponsor’s mark for Michael Homer. Each sauce boat has a scratch weight underneath. This highly attractive pair of sauce boats are in first-class condition, of very good weight and gauge with a lovely patina, with no damage, dents or repairs. Marks are well struck and clear.
