- Roberto Sambonet Chrome Centerpiece Serving Bowl Dish with Copper FernLocated in Atlanta, GAThe Italian company Roberto Sambone manufactured this lovely chrome and copper centerpiece, serving dish, or bowl for their 1980s "Graffiti" collection. The shiny chromed metal square design has rounded corners and is decorated with copper and silver plate inlaid floral decor featuring fern branches. The piece is marked inside: "Sambonet - Italy." By the early 20th Century, his company was the Official Supplier to many noble families, including the Duchess of Genoa and the Count of Turin. In 1932, Sambonet was the first company in Italy to build an industrial manufacturing plant for sterling silver and galvanic silverware. In 1938, it developed an innovative process of producing stainless steel flatware and a silver-plated steel manufacturing technique. In 1947, it started manufacturing stainless steel knives and blades using its technology. In 1956, Sambonet conquered the international market and bit 53 competitors to supply the Hilton Hotel in Cairo with a hollowware line that remains in its collection today. Today, Sambonet is represented in some of the best hotels and restaurants worldwide. Customers can find Sambonet flatware...Category
