A rare sterling silver Georg Jensen Art Deco sauce boat with ebony handle, design #766 by Gustav Pedersen from 1938. Gustav Pedersen only designed a very few pieces for Georg Jensen, though he worked there from 1915 until his retirement in 1965. This piece features in the book “Georg Jensen Silversmithy: 77 Artists, 77 Years” from an exhibition at the Smithsonian Institute in 1980, celebrating 75 years of Georg Jensen Silversmithy. (Published by Smithsonian Institute) Additional information: Material: Sterling silver Styles: Art Deco Hallmarks: Vintage Georg Jensen hallmark from 1945-1951.
