Sarreguemines French Faïence Majolica Barbotine Corn on the Cob Lidded Tureen

About the Item

A French Majolica covered tureen formed as an ear of corn, the handle and footing molded as corn husks. Sarreguemines, circa 1940s. Realistically molded and charming on the table, bright, bold glazing in green and yellow. The base is stamped Sarreguemines, France. Measures: 12 in. L x 8 in. W x 6.5 in. H A missed glaze spot on the lower rim, a kiln effect in the making. Very good conditions.
