Set of Four Glazed and Hand-Painted Terracotta Serving Plates, Sweden and Italy

$354.27Asking Price

These terracotta serving plates were all handmade in the 20th century. They have a glaze finish and beautiful decorative patterns to embellish them. The three terracotta-color set are from Sweden and have ivory patterns circling the exterior rim of the plate which is typical of old Scandinavian designs. The larger green ceramic serving plate was handmade and painted by a local craftman in the South of Italy. The decorative motif was beautifully hand-painted to give the illusion of a flower in bloom from the centre point, very naturalistic colors were used such as ivy greens and earthy browns. The four plates can be used as dinner service or as beautiful cabinet display.
