This is a small vintage decorative spice jar. A quality Japanese, ceramic and gilt finished baluster urn on coaster, dating to the late 20th century.
Superb contrasting finishes accentuate the distinctive form
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
Deep black ceramic ground with a wonderfully reflective glaze
Recessed medallion with concave gilt bevel, the charming bird scene accentuated in golden tones
Small coaster with a recessed foliate medallion, the dome lid with a small gilt finial
