About the Item
The St Helena Tray is a piece that will complete your kitchen. Hang it from a pot rack, or simply lean it against the back splash and the warm walnut and hand shaped minimalist form will lend comfort and elegance. When guests arrive, even the most hastily assembled charcuterie and cheese selection will be a show stopper when placed on the broad walnut tray.
Made by hand in our LA studio of FSC certified North American walnut, and finished with pure walnut oil, the St Helena Serving Tray is built to last with a breadboard end-an ancient technique that prevents twisting from exposure to water after washing. We make each piece with great care, selecting only the finest boards and shaping them with well tuned tools by hand in our small, light filled studio.

West of Noble
West of Noble is a Los Angeles based design practice dedicated to the pursuit of making wooden furniture by hand. It was founded by designer and itinerant woodworker Greg Mitchell in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in 2011, but is inspired by a lifetime of travel, time spent on the sea, various odd jobs, wooden sailboats, and friends and family; without whom the company would not exist. Our designs are guided by the making process, and the unpredictable nature of our chosen material. We aim for the simplest line in each piece, believing it is only finished when there is nothing left to take away.
