    This is a large wonderful antique English Victorian silver-plated Tray by Walker & Hall, circa 1880 in date. This splendid large tray features beautifully plain body. The raised border featues twin handles to each side and is decorated with scalloped edges and floral ornamentation, the center feaures a a foral engraved panel. It is splendid and luxurious and will look fabulous on your sideboard with decanters and glasses. The quality and craftsmanship throughout the piece are truly second to none. Condition: In excellent condition with clear makers marks and no dings, dents or signs of repair.     This is a superb antique English neoclassical silver plated tray by the renowned English silversmith, James Deakin, circa 1870 in date. This rectangular tray features a deep set, decorative gadrooned border with elegant handles decorated with superb foliate and floral chased and engraved decoration of ribbons and garlands. The quality and craftsmanship throughout the piece are truly second to none. Condition: In excellent condition with no dings, dents or signs of repair. Please see photos for confirmation. Dimensions in cm: Height 4 x Width 51 x Depth 34.5 Dimensions in inches: Height 2 inches x Width 1 foot, 8 inches x Depth 1 foot, 2 inches James Deakin & Sons LTD DEAKINS (SILVERSMITHS) LTD Sheffield The firm was established in 1865 by James Deakin at Sidney Works, Matilda Street, Sheffield. Before 1886 he was joined in partnership by his three sons, William Pitchford, John and Albert and the style of the firm was changed to James Deakin & Sons. In 1888 they opened London offices and showrooms at 48 Holborn Viaduct. Other branches were opened at Glasgow and Belfast. In 1897 the firm was converted to James Deakin & Sons Ltd. In 1935, James Deakin & Sons Ltd was part of a short-lived merger "Silver & Steelcrafts Ltd" that included Fenton Bros and J.H. Potter & Sons. The combine collapsed within three years. In 1939 was created Deakins (Silversmiths) Ltd, active at 6 Earl Street and, from 1943 at Sidney Works, Matilda Street. They were liquidated in 1967. In 1961 the brand was part of the "MONOGRAM" CUTLERY GROUP belonging to I.S. Dearden & Sons Ltd. manufacturing holloware and flatware under the "Bell brand" in the patterns 'Gordon', 'Balmoral' and 'Empire'. Trade marks used: AZTEC, BELL SILVER...

    This is a wonderful antique silver plated Victorian salver bearing the makers mark of William Hutton & Sons, and dating from Circa 1860. It has beautiful engraved floral and foliate decoration in the Neo-classical style and is raised on elegant scrolled feet. This salver is of fabulous quality and will add an Imperial look to your surroundings. Condition: In excellent condition with no dings, dents or signs of repair. Please see photos for confirmation. Dimensions in cm: Height 4 x Width 32 x Depth 32 Dimensions in inches: Height 2 inches x Width 1 foot, 1 inch x Depth 1 foot, 1 inch William Hutton & Sons - the firm was established in Birmingham by William Hutton in 1800 and transferred in Sheffield in 1832 where the firm was active as manufacturing silversmiths and platers at 27 High Street (140-146 West Street from 1886). After his death the business was continued under the same style by the founder's son William Carr Hutton until 1864, when the name was changed to William Hutton & Son. This was a partnership of William Carr Hutton and his youngest son Herbert Hutton (senior, born 1843).William Carr Hutton died in 1865 and c. 1870 Herbert Hutton Sr. was joined by his brothers James Edward Hutton (b. 1839) and Robert (b. 1840) and the name was changed to William Hutton & Sons. A London showroom was opened in 1863 (13 Thavies Inn Holborn until 1891, and later 7 Farrington Road until 1918).In 1893 the firm acquired Rupert Favell & Co (manufacturer silversmith at Bucknall Street, Oxford Street, London) and in the same year became William Hutton & Sons Ltd.The firm acquired Creswick & Co in 1902, beginning to use their crossed arrows marks.The last Hutton family MD was Herbert Hutton Jr. before the company failed in 1930.
