Antique Victorian Bride's or Bridal Basket with Hand-Painted Floral Decoration
About the Item
This antique bridal basket is made by the Simpson, Hall, Miller Company of the United States in approximately 1880 in a period Victorian style. The frame of the basket is done in silver plate with applied leaf decoration and a double wired serpentine handle with ball accents. The art glass bowl or basket is done in a milk glass with a blue ruffled edge and very elaborately hand-painted floral decoration with gilt ribbons and bows. The plated stand is clearly marked on the base for Simpson, Hall & Miller.
