Gustavian Sugar Bowls in Silver
About the Item
A pair of Gustavian-style sugar bowls in silver, stamped by Johan Henrik Schvart, active in Karlskrona, Sweden. They are stamped with S2 for the year 1800. The bowls are in a boat-shaped model, featuring decorated medallions with antique-inspired motifs. The lids are crowned with decorative pine cones. The lids also have slots for spoons. The base is beautifully pierced.
