This exceptional antique Georgian sterling silver soup ladle has been crafted in the Old English Bright-cut Edge pattern. The anterior surface of the handle is embellished with an undulating engraved border. This fine example of silver cutlery has a plain rounded bowl. The reverse of this antique silver ladle features a rounded heel to the bowl and the contemporary bright cut engraved initials 'S'. Such examples crafted by the renowned and collectable female silversmith Hester Bateman, in this high quality, are becoming increasingly difficult to locate; this ladle is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.
