A classic antique George I solid Silver Porringer / Bleeding Bowl with a substantial shaped handle. The handle has an engrave monogram R over RM. The bowl has a classic baluster shape.
Made in London in 1717 - maker unascribed.

The Porringer is has a full English Hallmark on the side and part marked on the handle.
This Bowl is in very good condition with no damage and a gorgeous patina commensurate withe age and use.

This English silver porringer is fitted with two impressive cast, leaf decorated S-scroll handles with elevated figural shaped thumbpieces.
